About Us

Agri-Plas, Inc. has grown out of Dari’s passionate care for the environment that we will leave to future generations. With family and friends actively engaged in the dairy industry in California, Dari knew first hand the tremendous amount of plastic waste generated from agricultural operations.

In 1995, she began to realize her dream to clean up and recycle this wasted resource. Beginning with plastic binder twine, she built and trained a work force to clean and process the twine into bales of ground material. She worked with manufacturers to build markets for the recycled twine.

Moving north into Oregon, Agri-Plas started processing agricultural plastic in a rented location in Salem.  They soon needed a larger and better planned location to process the large amount of material coming in to the plant. In 2004, the company moved in to its present location, 5016 Waconda Rd. NE, Brooks, Oregon. Already plans are being made to expand this location.

Almost all of the material processed at Agri-Plas is sold to domestic markets. We do not export any material that can be used domestically. We currently pick up agricultural plastic, including nursery pots and trays, greenhouse film, ground cover, seed sacks, pesticide containers and binder twine.

In 2006, Agri-Plas accepted and recycled approximately 15,600,000 pounds of plastic –  plastic that otherwise would have gone to the burner, into landfills or been stored at agricultural sites. In addition to keeping this material out of the waste-stream, Agri-Plas provides steady, year around work for more than 50 employees
