Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Agri-Plas recycles mainly agricultural plastics such as greenhouse film, nursery pots and plastic binder twine. However, we can also accept limited quantities of household plastics. If your business generates large quantities of plastic waste (agricultural plastic, shrink wrap, plastic hangers or other plastic materials), call us. We pick up material from some locations.

Materials We Accept

Rigid clear plastic packaging, water bottles, soft drink bottles, catsup and salad dressing bottles; pickle, peanut butter, jelly and jam jars; trays that can be heated in the oven.

All material must be relatively clean. Nursery pots and trays must have the soil knocked out. Agricultural film should not be muddy. No rocks, no metal. No bags that are made out of both paper & plastic.

Nursery pots, triple-rinsed pesticide drums and jugs, plastic buckets and lids, milk jugs, plastic drums, juice bottles, bleach, detergent and shampoo bottles, trash bags, grocery and retail carrying bags, butter and margarine tubs (and their lids), and household cleaner bottles

Agri-Plas does not accept PVC material.

Marion County collects household PVC materials at the Transfer Station on Earth Day (April 22). See Marion County Environmental Services for more details.

The main agricultural products include film, nursery pots and trays; other products include squeezable bottles, bread bags, frozen food bags, tote bags, dry cleaning bags, and some carpet

Brooms, brushes, auto battery cases, ice scrapers, landscape borders, bicycle racks, rakes, bins, pallets, trays, and yogurt containers.

Polystyrene can be made into both rigid and foamed products. Agri-Plas does not accept foam, which can include meat trays, egg cartons and insulation. Rigid containers with #6 symbol are acceptable.
